Saints legends kick off the party season

Francis Benali and Matt Le Tis

Saints legends Francis Benali and Matthew Le Tissier swapped their football kits for rather different attire today as they helped us prepare for the launch of Cue Camera.

The pair donned festive themed fancy dress as they helped to test out costumes for our luxury pop-up photo studio, which opens to the public this week. The giant gold studio, made from two converted shipping containers, will allow visitors to step inside and have their pictures taken by professional photographers in a variety of Christmas themed fancy dress.

The studio will officially open on Thursday and will be open from 10am to 10pm every day until New Year’s Eve. However, it is being launched with a special charity day tomorrow (December 7) when members of the public can come along for a half price photo shoot and 100 per cent of the profits will go to Benali’s Big Race. A portion of profits from every shoot thereafter will also be donated to the cause throughout Cue Camera’s stay in Southampton.

Francis Benali visited with former Saints team mate Matthew Le Tissier to try out the costumes and find out how Cue Camera will be helping to boost the money he raised for Cancer Research UK earlier this year.

He said: “It’s been great fun dressing up with Matt today. Having tried it out first hand, I know the pop-up photo studio is going to be really popular with families in Southampton this Christmas and it’s fantastic news that it’ll be adding to the money raised for Cancer Research UK through Benali’s Big Race.”

Matt added: “Get yourselves down here, have some fun and help to support a very worthy cause this Christmas.”

Cue Camera is the brainchild of Brad Hurter, who is enjoying a change in direction after running a national interiors company in Romsey for more than 12 years.

He said: “Already we’re attracting interest from a whole range of people. They range from students to people working in the city to party-goers wanting to have additional fun on their Christmas nights out! We’ll also be having special mornings for mums and their toddlers together with pet owners.”

The charity day in aid of Benali’s Big Race takes place on Wednesday December 7 from 10am to 6pm and with a special evening slot between 8pm to 10pm. Half price photo shoots will be available on a first-come, first, served basis.

From its official opening on Thursday December 8 Cue Camera photo shoots start from £15 and corporate packages are available for Christmas parties. To hear about the latest news and competitions follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter.
